What Should I Wear?

Point of view: You have just scheduled your first boudoir session, and you just realized you have no idea what to wear. Now what?! Before the panic and anxiety sets in and you talk yourself into canceling before you even get to enjoy it, let me help you! Ask yourself what makes you comfortable? Is it a 2 piece bra & panty set? Is it a 1 piece? Is it even lingerie? Maybe it’s an oversized tee or sweater. The questions and options could go on and on!

I have had this conversation with many of my clients. My first suggestion is to always look at what you have before you run out and spend money on something that you may not love or may not be comfortable in. I know sometimes it’s taboo and people frown upon it, but Pinterest is my next suggestion. I don’t care what others think-I love Pinterest and find it to be a great resource when I am stumped. In fact, I keep a Studio Dream Closet board. You can follow it here.

I will either make a board for my clients if they are new users or have them add me to theirs if they already have a board. If you don’t have a board yet, create one. It’s a great way to figure out what you want to wear without spending money first. It’s also a great way to weed out what you don’t like. Once you figure out what style you want, it’s time to start trying things on. I suggest trying on multiple options in front of a full length mirror to see what is flattering but also what you are comfortable wearing.

I have found some great outfits on Amazon and also Shein. With online places, be sure to read the reviews to get the correct sizing. Amazon also offers a try before you buy on select items. If you want to try on things in person, check out Target, TJ Maxx, Wal-Mart…anywhere that sells clothing will probably have at least a few options. Even though I talk a lot about being comfortable, do not be afraid to step out of your comfort zone! You may be head over heels for an outfit you think you could never wear-GIRL, TRY IT ON! You may just surprise yourself.

After you have chosen your outfits, don’t forget to accessorize! Earrings, necklaces, bracelets, heels…the whole nine! You would be shocked how much a bracelet or some body jewelry can turn up an oversized tee or a simple lace teddy. Last but not least, if you are stuck on what to wear, reach out to me! Part of my job is to make sure you have the best experience possible, and what you wear (or don’t wear) is a huge part of that experience.

Follow me on Pinterest to see more of what I love with posing, accessories, hair & makeup, and much more! If you have not already joined my private Facebook group, you can do that here. Sorry fellas, this is a ladies only group! You can also follow my public Facebook business page here.
